Ondřej Stráský was ready to walk away from competitive Magic—then he nearly won his "retirement" Grand Prix. With a resurgent interest after a few years away from the top tables, he made it to the Top 4 of the 2019 Mythic Invitational before notching victory in the thrilling finals of Mythic Championship VI. Catapulted back to the top of professional Magic, Stráský marched to a Top 4 finish at Magic World Championship XXVII and another season as part of the MPL.
