The latest round of Regional Championship Qualifiers (RCQs) is currently underway, with players putting their Magic skills to the test in Standard and Limited. As we head into 2027, we're preparing for our next round of RCQs. That means more events, more sweet promo cards, and more chances to start your competitive Magic journey.

Today, we'll be revealing more information about this next round of RCQs and some of 2026–2027's upcoming Regional Championships.

Upcoming Regional Championship Qualifiers
(December 11–March 28, 2027)

The third round of RCQs for 2026 will begin on December 11 and run up to March 28, 2027. All WPN stores and destination event organizers will run RCQs that feed into the upcoming round of Regional Championships in 2026 and 2027 during this window.

For this round, RCQs at WPN game stores can hold these events in Standard Constructed or Sealed Deck. Larger events that are designated as "destination" qualifiers—events run in larger venues such as hotel ballrooms or convention centers—may run these events in other Constructed formats. Please check with your local organizer for specific info on qualifiers closest to you.

Additionally, the product line-up for Limited may differ depending on when the event is taking place, as this round will span multiple booster releases, so check with your organizer for the specific details if you're interested in a Limited RCQ.

For this round of RCQ promos, we made an offering to Valgavoth and recurred some awesome Magic cards with new artwork and treatments.
